I wrote this song after seeing two things which totally wrecked me, and I can not get them out of my head:
An interview with the mother of one of the victims, crying hysterically, saying over and over again that she can't get her son to answer the phone and she just wants to talk to him and know he's ok, and ABC commentary about the crime scene investigators stepping through the bodies while every cell phone in the room rang endlessly.
This is, quite literally, one of the most heartbreaking things I've seen in such a very long time... I had to try to help, and this is all I can do, so, we recorded this and will donate 100% of the proceeds to the OneOrlando victim fund and LGBT charities.
The work of Pete, Omar, Jason, Paella, Rich, Montoya, and MP were instrumental in making this song a reality. Thanks to all.

lyrics
It's been religion and background and melanin
Now 'out' is the target that's in
Cause you gotta have someone to hate
Yeah you gotta have someone to hate
You give it a new name
But the stupidity's the same
Cause you gotta have someone to hate
Yeah you gotta have someone to hate
Condemn us for the way we love
Cause if we're below then you're above
And you gotta have someone to hate
Yeah you gotta have someone to hate
But your hate is blind so you can't see
That we've got friends and family
Who have to worry what tomorrow may bring
Waiting for the telephone to ring
Our mothers are calling
Our mothers are calling
But we can't pick up
This world is so messed up
Our mothers are calling
Our mothers are calling
But there's no answer to give
All we want is to live
All our lives we've only wanted to belong
All our lives we've wanted to just get along
All our lives we've only wanted to sing a song
Of love and acceptance, of joy and unity...
Our mothers are calling
Our mothers are calling
But we can't pick up
This world is so messed up
Our mothers are calling
Our mothers are calling
But there's no answer to give
All we want is to live

Ducky Boys are, quite simply, legends in punk rock. They've been doing this longer and better than a very VERY long list of bands. Go. Listen. Enjoy. The Enders
